Paramount Animation is teaming with WWE Studios on the upcoming summer 2020 release Rumble, which is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes.

Paramount Animation president Mireille Soria is bringing girl power to the unit literally. The studio, which boasts a mostly female senior staff, is in early development on a Spice Girls movie among a slate eyeing two releases a year, starting in 2020.

Reel FX Prepping ‘Wish Police’ for 2017/2018 Release

The studio (via press release) has announced development on Wish Police, a fantasy/supernatural adventure film based on the novella of the same name by Daniel Nayeri and directed by the Spanish trio of Adrian Garcia, Alfredo Torres, and Victor Maldanado, collectively known as Headless. Torres and Maldanado will work on the film in-house at Reel FX’s Dallas and Santa Monica facilities.

Reel FX Makes Multi-Picture Pact With ‘Book Of Life’ Helmer Jorge R. Gutierrez; Kung Fu Space Western

Reel FX Animation Studios, the company behind The Book Of Life, has made a long term deal with that film’s writer/director Jorge R. Gutierrez. The first animated picture under the new deal will be an untitled Kung Fu Space Western.
