‘Big Hero 6′ Teaser Trailer Released

It’s here! The first official trailer for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ next animated feature Big Hero 6 has finally been released.

The new teaser, much like the ‘Olaf and Sven’ teaser we got for Frozen a year ago, shows us a fun sequence where 14-year-old robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada tries to suit up his squishy robot companion Baymax. It’s a comedic and hilarious little scene, which shows us the dynamics between the two main characters of the movie.
We’re definitely loving the character design of Hiro, who is a very modern looking, anime-inspired animated character. Baymax could be the breakout star of the movie. He’s endearing and naive, and althoughhe totally looks like he can kick butt once he’s in his armor, all he wants to do is kick a ball around (if he can manage to grab it). Cue the “awwws”.
Disney’s Big Hero 6 is inspired by a Marvel Comics property of the same name. It features a group of six misfit crime fighters (including Hiro and Baymax) who team up to save their city of San Fransokyo from a criminal plot. The voice cast is yet to be announced, but so far, T.J. Miller has been confirmed to voice a character named Fred, while Maya Rudolph and Jamie Chung have been rumored to join the cast. You can also catch this new teaser trailer in theatres before Disney’s Maleficent, which hits theatres May 30th.
Disney’s 54th Animated Feature, Big Hero 6 blasts into theatres on November 7.
