New Warner animation group projects

These days, the major film producing studios think way in advance and make announcements accordingly, such is the case with the newly formed Warner Animation Group. Since being rekindled, WAG had its first feature movie – “The LEGO Movie” – be a monstrous hit this year, so far raking in nearly half a billion American dollars worldwide against a mere $60 million budget. Catapulting off that success, Warner Bros announced upcoming release dates in 2017 and 2018 for a pair of “untitled Warners Animation Group projects” which remain mysteries but are speculated to be either “Storks” from Doug Sweetland [who directed the Pixar short “Presto”] and “Smallfoot” [from Sergio Pablos – writer of “Despicable Me”] or possibly a revival of the Looney Tunes franchise or something unknown that is afoot.

The pair of “untitled Warner Animation Group projects” are currently scheduled for release on February 10, 2017 and February 9, 2018.
