The first of the spinoffs in Warner Bros.’ newly-formed LCU (Lego Cinematic Universe) of animated films has added a second actor to its cast.

Comic Book Resources has reported last week that Michael Cera has joined the cast of LEGO Batman as the voice of Robin. He will voice the character alongside Arrested Development co-star Will Arnett, who is reprising his role from The LEGO Movie as the voice of Batman.
This will mark Cera’s return to comic book-based material since starring in the 2010 cult hit Scott Pilgrim VS. The World. Similarly, it will also mark his debut in feature animation in addition to being the second time he’s done voice work in animation since Scott Pilgrim VS. The Animation, a short film that accompanied the release of Scott Pilgrim VS. The World.
It has not yet been clarified which version of Robin from the comics he will portray.
The film is directed by Chris McKay (animation supervisor on The LEGO Movie) from a screenplay by Seth Grahame-Smith and produced by Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller.
LEGO Batman will hit theaters on February 10, 2017. LEGO Ninjago will follow on September 22, 2017. The LEGO Movie Sequel will bow on May 18, 2018. An untitled LCU film (possibly The Billion Brick Race) is set to launch on May 24, 2019.
