In spite of receiving a more mixed reaction than its predecessors, The Boxtrolls is doing quite well for itself in the awards season. It has recently scored a Golden Globe nomination and it currently leads the Annies with 13 nominations. That being said, LAIKA has already set its sights on its next film (one of three more films to be made in its extended partnership with Focus Features). And here’s the good news: it already sounds awesome.

'Kung Fu Panda 3' Moves Out of 2015 to Avoid 'Star Wars'
Making further changes to their upcoming slate, DreamWorks Animation and partner 20th Century Fox are pushing back Kung Fu Panda 3 from Dec. 23, 2015, to March 18, 2016.

Additional Vocal Cast & Trailer Details For Pixar's 'Inside Out'
This afternoon we were treated (via USA Today) to additional details surrounding the vocal cast for the upcoming Pixar film, Inside Out. The director of the film, Pete Docter, revealed who Riley and her parents would be voiced by, but also included a few more notes regarding the story elements as well. Riley's Mother will be voiced by Diane Lane, her Father will be voiced by Kyle MacLachlan and Riley, the 11-year old girl who is the setting for the film's emotions will be voiced by Kaitlyn Dias.
New Information On ‘Finding Dory’ Revealed!
One of the primary settings of 2016’s Finding Dory has been revealed and it’s not the ocean! New Pixar President Jim Morris revealed in an interview at the Comic Con Experience in Brazil that the film will take place in the Marine Biology Institute of California. This will probably be the equivalent of the dentist’s tank inFinding Nemo with the rest of the movie taking place in the ocean.

‘The Peanuts Movie’ Voice Cast Revealed

Reel FX Developing ‘Rock Dog’ for 2015
Reel FX is a studio that has a lot to prove. Their first film Free Birds wasn’t exactly a critical darling. That being said, everything we’ve seen so far for their next film The Book of Life is solid proof that the studio still has potential. ToonBox Expands to L.A.
Canadian animation studio ToonBox Entertainment is toasting the success of its indie feature The Nut Job by expanding its operations to the U.S. with a new office in downtown Los Angeles.
